Czech Republic's national public broadcaster, Ceská Televize (CT), has chosen Orad Hi-Tec Systems Ltd. to provide on-air graphics and channel-branding solutions.

As part of the provided solution, multiple Maestro systems will be deployed across different studios. The Maestro systems are all networked together, supported by Orad's Graphic Asset Management (GAM) module. The GAM module enables CT to register their graphic assets to a database shared by all their journalists, as well as allows for effective management of user permissions, authorization, and access to assets stored in the database. This distributed architecture allows for collaborative work between the different users of the system and streamlines the entire production workflow.

Orad's Maestro control application will be used by CT to trigger the playout in all studios. For CT's news production, the Maestro system will be integrated with an OCTOPUS newsroom system, allowing journalists to sequence the graphic elements from within their newsroom environment. All branding graphics will be scheduled by the PROVYS traffic system while the triggering of the graphic events will be controlled by Aveco's automation system.

Multiple copies of Orad's 3Designer authoring software will be deployed at CT's graphic studio, enabling them to create state-of-the-art, real-time 3-D graphics and animations for their news, sports, branding, and promotion.

The backbone of the solution is Orad's HDVG video graphics rendering platform, which will provide CT with an easy upgrade path, the playback of multiple video clips, multiple live video feeds, and support for embedded audio.
