                                <p><strong>PRINCETON, N.J.—</strong>Triveni Digital has unveiled an optimized version of its StreamScope XM analyzer with a DekTec 12-port input card, allowing broadcasters and cable operators to analyze multiple ATSC 1.0 and 3.0 streams as well as QAM signals at the same time.</p><p>Users can now detect, isolate and resolve quality-related issues for ATSC 1.0 and 3.0 streams and data structures from a single StreamScope XM interface, increasing efficiency and speed and saving expense, the company said.</p><p>All 12 channels are demodulated simultaneously, allowing users to monitor a complete network in real time. As broadcasters transition from ATSC 1.0 to ATSC 3.0, they can seamlessly switch over each receiver within the software, future-proofing their operations, it said.</p><p>Well-suited for stations transmitting multiple ATSC 1.0 and 3.0 signals, duopoly broadcasters and cable operators needing a way to analyze multiple broadcast signals in a single designated market area (DMA), the optimized StreamScope XM analyzer eliminates the need to use separate input cards to analyze multiple 1.0 and 3.0 streams, Triveni Digital said.</p><p>The analyzer provides complete real-time analysis of ROUTE, MMTP and STLTP streams from RF, Ethernet and file inputs at multiple delivery points, the company said.</p><p>More information is available on the company’s <a href="http://www.trivenidigital.com/" target="_blank"><u>website</u></a>. </p>

                                <p><strong>TAMPA, Fla.—</strong>Hearst Television is deploying a software-based ATSC 3.0 solution from Triveni Digital at WMOR-TV, the station group’s MeTV affiliate in Tampa, Fla.</p><p>The station will use Triveni Digital’s ATSC 3.0 Broadcast Gateway scheduler, GuideBuilder XM 3.0 transport encoder and StreamScope XM 1.0 and 3.0 combination analyzer, the company said.</p><p>The Tampa station is the first in the Hearst Television station group to <a href="https://www.tvtechnology.com/news/nextgen-tv-launches-on-five-tampa-area-stations"><u>serve as a lighthouse in the transition to NextGen TV</u></a>. The Triveni Digital solution supports both 1.0 and 3.0, it said.</p><p>"We&apos;re excited to serve as the pioneering ATSC 3.0 broadcast transmission host among Hearst stations, ushering in a new era of television for our viewers," said Brian Darragh, chief engineer at WMOR-TV.</p><p>"We chose Triveni Digital as our strategic technology partner based on their extensive ATSC 3.0 deployment experience and their contribution to ATSC 3.0 technology. With a comprehensive solution for simultaneous ATSC 1.0 and ATSC 3.0 broadcasting, Triveni Digital is helping us ensure an exceptional quality of service for our viewers."</p><p>The station is deploying the Triveni Digital unified, software solution in an on-premise virtual server environment. This approach eliminates rack space and saves on power and operational expenses, Triveni Digital said.</p><p>The broadcaster will use the company’s ATSC 3.0 Broadcast Gateway server and software for NextGen TV scheduling. The company’s broadcast gateway supports ROUTE and MMTP encapsulation, which simplifies implementation and management of 3.0 services intended to enhance revenue, it said.</p><p>With GuideBuilder XM, WMOR-TV can manage 1.0 and 3.0 metadata. Among the new updates is support for multiple PLPs within a broadcast transmission. The StreamScope XM Verifier also now has a range of RF advancements to improve analysis and visibility into ATSC 3.0 quality of service.</p><p>Triveni will also demonstrate how its products can control and distribute interactive emergency applications and information in an ATSC 3.0 environment. This new solution is comprised of Triveni’s AEA Editor and GuideBuilder XM ATSC 3.0 transport encoder, as well as Digital Alert Systems’ DASDEC emergency messaging platform and a software receiver from Alticast. It also has user-interface templates based on AWARN focus groups and developed in support with NAB Pilot.</p><p>Triveni and Alticast also collaborated on a new system that enables an interactive viewing experience based on ATSC 3.0 capabilities. A demo at NAB Show New York, developed with Michigan State University’s WKAR-TV PBS station, will show how the educational viewing experience can be enhanced with next-gen TV interactive content and companion device features. The system is powered by Alticast’s software receiver and Triveni’s end-to-end ATSC 3.0 broadcast service delivery system.</p><p>NAB Show New York will be held at the Javits Convention Center, with Triveni Digital located at booth N1064 on the exhibit floor.</p>
