WASHINGTON—The National Association of Broadcasters announced today that Makan Delrahim, chief legal officer at Paramount, a Skydance Corporation, and Maria Martinez-Guzman, president of Entravision Media, have been appointed to the NAB Television Board of Directors. The appointments are effective immediately.

Delrahim oversees all legal, regulatory, compliance and public policy matters for Paramount, which includes CBS. In this role, he guides legal strategy to support the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality media content to audiences nationwide. Prior to joining Paramount in October 2025, Delrahim was a partner at Latham & Watkins LLP, where he advised clients on complex mergers and transactions and other matters.

Before that, Delrahim served as the 35th Assistant Attorney General for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division. Delrahim brings extensive expertise on media and regulatory issues to his role on the NAB Television Board of Directors, offering valuable perspectives as broadcasters navigate a rapidly evolving media marketplace. He assumes the seat previously held by Keith Murphy.

Martinez-Guzman was appointed president of Entravision in 2026, where she oversees television and digital video programming, local sales for television-only markets and national sales. She previously spent more than 24 years at Univision, most recently as executive vice president of news, where she led programming for all daily Univision news properties.

Martinez-Guzman is a skilled broadcast industry leader who brings decades of experience in television programming and audience engagement to her role on the NAB Television Board of Directors. She assumes the seat previously held by Jeff Liberman.

WASHINGTON—NAB has announced the results of the 2023 NAB Radio and Television Board of Directors elections. Five of the six Television Board members were re-elected to two-year terms that begin in June 2023. Nexstar Media Group CEO Perry Sook was elected, replacing Sinclair Broadcast Group President/CEO Chris Ripley.

Appointments:
Effective immediately, Kristopher Jones, executive vice president and head of Government Relations at Fox Corporation, has been appointed to the designated seat currently held by Joe Di Scipio, senior vice president, FCC legal and business affairs and assistant general counsel at Fox Corporation.

Effective immediately, Dean Littleton, senior vice president of Local Media, The E.W. Scripps Company, has been appointed to the designated seat currently held by Brian Lawlor, president, Scripps Sports, the E.W. Scripps Company.

As of June 2023, Keith R. Murphy, senior vice president, Government Relations and Regulatory Counsel, Paramount Global will be appointed to the designated seat currently held by DeDe Lea of Paramount.

WASHINGTON—In accordance with NAB by-laws and effective immediately, Dave Hanna and Patricia McRae have been appointed to the NAB Television Board of Directors by Board Chair Emily Barr.

Hanna is the president of Lockwood Broadcasting, which currently owns and operates nine stations affiliated with major TV networks. He previously served as a member of the UPN Affiliate Board for four years, including three as president, as well as time on the CW Affiliate Advisory Board.

McRae is the president of KHQ Incorporated and Cowles Montana Media, where she oversees TV markets in eastern Washington and five markets in Montana, as well as a regional sports network serving Washington, Idaho and Montana. She is the current vice chair for the Fox Board of Governors and on the Fox News Advisory committee, as well as a past chair of the Washington State Broadcasting Association and time on the NAB Small Market Round Table Committee.

WASHINGTON—The NAB Television and Radio Board revealed the results of the elections last week, which will see all of the elected individuals begin their two-year terms as of June.

WASHINGTON – Patrick McCreery, president of the Meredith Local Media Group, has been appointed to the NAB Television Board of Directors by Television Board Chairman Jordan Wertlieb, effective immediately. McCreery assumes the board seat previously occupied by Paul Karpowicz, who retired from Meredith at the end of June.

McCreery served as Meredith's vice president of News and Marketing from 2014 until this past January, when he was promoted to executive vice president of Operations. As president, he oversees Meredith’s 17 local TV stations that reach more than 11 percent of U.S. households. McCreery also oversees MNI Targeted Media, which joined Meredith’s Local Media Group after the acquisition of Time Inc.

McCreery started at Meredith in 2003 as executive producer, Special Projects at KPHO-TV in Phoenix. He then spent almost 12 years at the company's Portland-based KPTV-TV/KPDX-TV, including six years as vice president & general manager. Earlier in his career, McCreery worked at stations in San Francisco, Toledo and Columbus. 

McCreery currently serves on the CBS Affiliate Board and the Board of the Television Operators Caucus. He served on the Board of the Oregon Association of Broadcasters for six years. 

McCreery is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism.

Kathy Clements

WASHINGTON—The National Association of Broadcasters has announced that Kathy Clements, Tribune Media chief operating officer of broadcasting, will fill the Fox affiliate board seat on NAB’s Television Board. Television Board Chairman Brian Lawlor made the appointment, effective immediately.

Clements, who joined Tribune in January 2014, oversees the company’s portfolio of 42 TV stations. Prior to joining Tribune, she was the senior vice president of media operations for Belo Corporation.

Clements currently serves on the Fox affiliate board, but also previously sat on the affiliate boards for CBS and ABC.

WASHINGTON—The National Association of Broadcasters has announced that the NAB Television Board of Directors has elected two new members, Hilton H. Howell, Jr., and Louis Wall. Howell is the president and vice chairman of Gray Television; Wall serves as the president of SagamoreHill Broadcasting.

The newly elected members of the board will replace two seats, one of which was formerly filled by Executive Committee member Marci Burdick of Schurz Communications.

Howell and Wall’s terms will begin at the upcoming NAB Joint Board meeting in June.
