READING, Pa. and CHESTERTON, In—Miri Technologies has just signed a new distribution partnership with Midwich, a distributor of audio-visual and unified communications solutions for the United States and Canada. The agreement reinforces Miri's channel partnership strategy for meeting the rapidly growing demand for the X510 dual-cellular bonding router and the new V410 4K live encoder/decoder in the world’s largest commercial market.

The Miri X510 router enables resilient internet connectivity anywhere by forging multiple wired and wireless links—including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, 4G, 5G and satellite—together to overcome speed limitations and withstand network disruptions even in challenging environments, according to the company. Powered by Speedify channel bonding technology from Connectify, the X510 bolsters internet connectivity for any type of data and supports use cases ranging from live streaming and remote broadcast contribution to trade shows and disaster response.

The Miri V410 live 4K encoder/decoder combines intuitive interfaces with rich functionality, robust connectivity and flexible format support for live streaming, IP-based production and AV-over-IP distribution. It can encode one 4K Ultra HD output at 60FPS or two simultaneous QHD (2560x1440) channels, and can also transcode from NDI® sources to streaming formats. As a decoder, the device can decode two 4K Ultra HD streams concurrently from most supported source formats.

Midwich sees Miri as a great addition to its offering in the Broadcast & Media/Entertainment sector.

READING, Pa.—Miri Technologies has unveiled the V410 live 4K video encoder/decoder for streaming, IP-based production workflows and AV-over-IP distribution, which will make its world debut at ISE 2026, Feb. 3-6, in Barcelona, Spain.

Designed with an emphasis on usability, the V410 combines intuitive user interfaces with rich functionality, robust connectivity, including Wi-Fi 7, and flexible format support.

“Encoding and decoding should be about more than just formats and features,” Ryan Brenneman, co-founder and chief technology officer at Miri, said. “An easy and efficient user experience is just as important as specifications. The Miri V410 encoder/decoder is designed to be simple enough for less-technical users and volunteers but offers deep enough controls and advanced capabilities to delight experienced producers and media engineers.”

The Miri V410 is user-configurable as an encoder or as a decoder. It can encode one live 4K Ultra HD output at 60 frames per second or two simultaneous 2K QHD (2560x1440) channels. As a decoder, the device can decode two 4K Ultra HD streams concurrently from most supported source formats. Video input and output connections include HDMI, 3G-SDI and USB interfaces with embedded audio support.

For live streaming, the V410 can encode or decode H.264 or H.265 in a wide range of protocols, including SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, HLS, TS over UDP and RTSP. For video-over-IP applications, the V410 can encode NDIHX2 or NDI HX3 and decode both formats as well as NDI High Bandwidth. In encode mode, the V410 can even transcode from NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX2 or NDI HX3 IP inputs to streaming formats and protocols.

Miri will also offer ISE attendees a sneak peek at upcoming V410 support for the emerging OMT (Open Media Transport) open-source protocol.

The Miri V410 includes an intuitive, browser-based web interface and an LCD screen with front-panel menu and shortcut buttons for easy monitoring and control. A large tally light ring around the top of the unit and dedicated front-panel VU meters provide instant visibility of tally status and audio levels. The front of the unit also has a headphone jack.

The V410 features built-in Wi-Fi 7 to maximize wireless performance as well as dual Gigabit Ethernet connections, providing multi-LAN connectivity or redundancy, with Power over Ethernet (PoE) supported on one of the ports. The V410 can also be paired with Miri's g X510 dual-cellular bonding router.

READING, Pa.—Network technology startup Miri Technologies has added David Cohen as vice president, business development. He’ll be tasked with expanding the company’s network of authorized channel partners to meet worldwide demand for the company’s X510 router and establishing sales channels in vertical markets beyond streaming and broadcasting.

Cohen brings to Miri more than two decades of senior leadership experience at broadcast, entertainment and telecom technology firms, Miri said. He formerly led global marketing for 5G solutions at NEC Corp. Prior to that, he was VP of marketing at Grass Valley following six years with Harris Corp.’s Broadcast Communications division. He has also written for TV Tech.

NEW YORK—Miri Technologies has launched the Miri X510, a dual cellular bonding router that allows users to combine multiple wired and wireless internet connections into a single, resilient link capable of delivering data streams even from remote locations with poor coverage. It bowed the product at the 2024 NAB Show New York, which concludes today.

The Miri X510 integrates channel bonding from Speedify. The router can bond up to seven internet links, including Wi-Fi, Gigabit Ethernet, satellite and mobile data connections. Automatic failover ensures seamless connectivity even if one internet connection fails. The Miri X510 can bond 4G LTE and 5G, helping to overcome network congestion at crowded venues, the company said.

The router features two SIM slots (SIMs not included) for the integrated 5G and 4G modems; two RJ-45 Gigabit Ethernet ports; Wi-Fi 6 connectivity; and two USB ports for optional modems. Speedify’s Pair & Share function, which allows the router to share data connections from mobile devices on the same network via the Speedify app, can increase bandwidth even more, the company said.

Miri worked with Magewell to develop the router to ensure it would meet the requirements of broadcasters, live streamers and video production professionals. The new router is being demonstrated in Magewell’s booth at the show.

Unlike dedicated video contribution systems that may also bond connections, the Miri X510 is not limited to delivering video and audio and isn’t tied to any particular codec or streaming protocol. It supports any type of data from financial transactions to live streams in any current or future format, Miri said.

“While the Miri X510 is ideal for the connectivity needs of everything from public safety and emergency management to retail and hospitality, live-event streaming and remote production are two of the most demanding use cases because of their high bandwidth requirements and challenging remote venues," Miri Chief Technology Officer Ryan Brenneman said.
