MELBOURNE, Australia—Mediaproxy, a global provider of software-based IP compliance monitoring and multiviewing solutions, says it will launch several new products and features to its LogServer monitoring platform at the 2025 NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 6-9.

In addition to many updates to the LogServer suite, Mediaproxy will introduce Monwall Server, a new product that extends its existing interactive multiviewing applications to provide traditional output streaming. Monwall Server allows for the generation of mosaics and output of various low-latency formats. In addition to conventional multiviewing application, this versatile solution offers customers a highly cost-effective approach to software-based multiviewing and hybrid workflows, significantly reducing the need for more cloud instances, the company said.

Also at NAB Show, a new cloud licensing feature will be introduced, empowering customers to deploy Mediaproxy systems as needed. This approach enables a pay-per-use model, ideal for customers with non-linear programming or those looking to temporarily extend their usage for special events such as live sports. This flexibility also ensures that customers have the option to easily scale their operations temporarily up or down as the need for more monitoring points arises.

Mediaproxy will also highlight its new support for JPEG-XS, which will allow TR-07 streams to be seamlessly integrated into LogServer, ensuring high-quality, low-latency video inputs for broadcast monitoring.

The company will also showcase its support for ATSC 3.0 broadcasts with several additions to the suite of tools. By incorporating A3SA security protocols into the core of its LogServer engine, Mediaproxy is able to provide broadcasters with a cost-effective option to monitor both encrypted to-air and off-air signals.

“We are looking forward to showing a significant number of additions at NAB this year,” says Mediaproxy CEO, Erik Otto. “With customers being under pressure to reduce operational costs, we have engineered solutions that provide significant savings without compromising reliability. We also have some other very new exciting features to show, but visitors will need to come to the booth to find out!”

Mediaproxy will be in Booth W1417 in the West Hall of the LVCC.

MELBOURNE, Australia—Mediaproxy, a provider of software-based IP compliance solutions, has integrated AI-Media Technologies' recently launched LEXI Recorded self-service captioning and transcription platform into its LogServer compliance monitoring system.

The two Australian companies have a history of partnerships—AI-Media was originally a Mediaproxy customer, but the two companies have since been collaborating more closely, beginning by integrating LogServer with AI-Media's iCap cloud network.

Founded in Sydney in 2003, AI-Media has developed a full range of captioning technologies to generate, distribute and display subtitles for a variety of broadcasting and streaming platforms. These include viewing systems and encoders, with its core offering being the LEXI AI-powered toolkit. Among its features are automatic captioning, translation and disaster recovery capabilities.

LEXI Recorded, the latest addition to this suite of tools, was launched in February this year. The cloud service is designed to deliver fast turn-around captions for Video On Demand along with transcriptions and translations of broadcast output. Like LogServer, LEXI Recorded is file-based, which has allowed for easy integration of the two systems.

Mediaproxy announced at the 2024 NAB Show that LogServer is now able to work with LEXI Recorded, providing outputs from its logger/recorder that are taken into the AI-Media system for captioning, translation and transcription purposes.

"Our technology is also fully integrated into LogServer, enabling broadcasters to create a transcription on-demand of video content by simply selecting an in point and an out point on the clip they want captioned and sending it to LEXI Recorded from within the LogServer software," explains Declan Gallagher, general manager of sales for the Asia Pacific region at AI-Media. "The use case is primarily for compliance reasons. If a broadcaster was asked what went to air and didn't currently caption that channel, they would be able to quickly turn around a transcript of the content in question. Integrating further with LogServer has given our new service - and our users - a high degree of functionality and flexibility for an increasingly important aspect of broadcasting."

Mediaproxy's chief executive, Erik Otto, comments: "The integration of LEXI Recorded is an important addition to the features of our LogServer product and gives a great deal of flexibility in the crucial area of captioning and transcription. The partnership with AI-Media is a long-standing one and is only getting stronger. We are pleased to be working with such dedicated experts in this specialist field and helping to provide better accessibility for a wider TV audience."

MELBOURNE, Australia—At the 2024 NAB Show, April 14-17 in Las Vegas, Mediaproxy, a global supplier of software-based IP compliance solutions, will showcase the latest version of its LogServer media compliance monitoring solution, which now provides comprehensive compliance, monitoring and analysis for ATSC 3.0 streams.

Mediaproxy says it has developed an advanced software-based technique for processing inhouse packager output (STLTP) and off-air transmission (DASH ROUTE) formats including decryption (A3SA). This allows engineers to easily and cost-effectively work with those new formats using LogServer’s familiar user interface technologies for review, monitoring and real-time analysis, the company said.

LogServer also conforms to the other main standards in use by broadcasters and streamers, including SMPTE ST 2110 and NMOS (Networked Media Open Specifications), for the transport of media over IP networks, and SCTE, which covers dynamic ad insertion. The newest version will be on display at the NAB Show, with demonstrations of cloud operation in addition to working with clustering decentralized systems on IP networks. Also on display will be the Monwall multiviewer, which, in conjunction with LogServer, provides next-generation multiviewing.

"NextGen ATSC 3.0 continues to grow as the new, future-proof standard and platform for IP-based broadcasting in the U.S.," comments Mediaproxy's chief executive, Erik Otto. "This year's NAB Show will be a showcase for both this important technology and Mediaproxy's elegant, powerful and yet cost-effective software-based solution for comprehensive ATSC 3.0 monitoring."

Mediaproxy will be in Booth W1322 in the West Hall.

MELBOURNE, Australia—Mediaproxy, a developer of software-based IP compliance solutions, will return to Las Vegas for the 2022 NAB Show between April 23 and 27 to demonstrate the latest upgrades to its flagship LogServer logging and monitoring system.

The updates include extended support for SMPTE ST 2110, NMOS, advanced SCTE Ad-Insertion trigger monitoring and configuration across pooled clusters of distributed systems.

"Compliance is now an intrinsic component of both engineering and business," explained Mediaproxy chief executive Erik Otto. "Modern multi-channel broadcasting and streaming calls for ever more sophisticated and reliable systems that can scale across IP networks and cloud. With over 20,000 channels deployed, LogServer has become the global standard for compliance monitoring."

LogServer is a software-based compliance platform that has been developed over the past 20-plus years to reliably log and monitor broadcast and OTT sources. It is able to integrate seamlessly into any operational environment, whether on-premises, virtual or in the cloud, and supports video, audio and real-time data from a wide range of current broadcast sources, including 4K, HDR, 10-bit, HEVC, TSoIP, SMPTE ST 2110/2022-6/2022-7, Zixi and SRT, the company said.

The proliferation of channels and explosion in streaming over recent years has demanded more sophisticated monitoring as media services and playout facilities have had to accommodate a wide range of distribution platforms and technologies, including Next Gen TV, IP-driven workflows and cloud migration.

To help clients address those changes, Mediaproxy has continued to develop new functionality for LogServer to offer the most efficient and comprehensive monitoring technology available.

These improvements, which will be displayed on Booth W7409 at NAB 2022, include advanced clustering of decentralized systems on IP networks, including the cloud, plus a new pooled interface platform that provides highly optimized systems configuration at scale.

This feature marks a new era in distributed access, set-up and configuration across entire organizations that have both extended local and global footprints across both on-prem and cloud, the company said.
