BOTHELL, Wash.—The Alliance for IP Media Solutions (AIMS), together with the Video Services Forum (VSF), the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA), and the European Broadcasting Union (EBU), today announced that 48 products were officially certified to the Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX) standard at the recent IPMX Product Testing and Certification Event in Geneva, Switzerland. The IPMX-compliant solutions were revealed at a cocktail reception that took place at ISE 2026 in Barcelona on Wednesday, February 4, at 4:30 p.m. in booth 5K880.

The IPMX Product Testing and Certification Event represented the first opportunity for manufacturers to formally certify products against the IPMX set of open specifications for professional media over IP. Following rigorous testing, solutions from Bridge Technologies, Matrox, Adeas / Nextera, Panasonic, Cobalt, intoPIX, plexusAV, Megapixel, Novastar, and Evertz successfully passed certification. These products are now certified and will carry the IPMX branding, signaling verified compliance with published transport, control, and interoperability requirements.

IPMX is a set of open standards and specifications designed to extend SMPTE ST 2110–based media transport and AMWA NMOS–based control into a broader range of markets, including professional AV, live events, corporate media, education, and beyond.

In addition to uncompressed workflows, IPMX introduces support for compressed video, simplified system timing, HDCP, and defined system profiles to make deployment more practical, scalable, and cost-effective for Pro AV environments. The certification program is designed to ensure predictable behavior, reliable interoperability, and adherence to the published IPMX test plans and specifications.

LISBON—Plug-and-play IP video connectivity provider NDI has announced an expanded partnership with OBSBOT and a renewed licensing agreement that will see NDI integrated across OBSBOT’s entire product lineup as a native capability.

The agreement means that NDI is now available free of charge on OBSBOT products, with no additional licensing required for end users.

The renewed agreement marks a significant expansion of the companies’ existing relationship. OBSBOT plans to significantly increase the number of products shipped with NDI built in, as more of its product line adopts native support.

OBSBOT’s products are widely used by creators, educators, and teams who want professional capabilities without enterprise-level complexity. Native NDI support allows those users to connect OBSBOT cameras directly into IP video workflows for streaming, remote production, and hybrid use, without adding extra hardware or licensing steps. This also highlights NDI’s interoperability, allowing OBSBOT cameras to work seamlessly with a wide range of software, switchers, and production platforms.

WUPPERTAL, GERAMNY—Riedel Communications will look to be keeping people in the holiday spirits into February, as the company has announced the products that ISE 2016 attendees will be able to unwrap when the conference gets underway. Riedel plans to showcase a trio of new products, including the MediorNet MicroN, the Tango TNG-200, and the RSP-2318 Smartpanel.

MediorNet MicroN

The MicroN is an 80G media distribution network device for Riedel’s MediorNet media transport and management system line. MicroN is a high-density signal interface with audio, video and data inputs and outuputs, including 24 SD/HD/3G-SDI I/Os, two MADI optical digital audio ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, two sync reference I/Os, and eight 10Gb MediorNet high-speed links. The system is available as either a fully networked MediorNet device or a point-to-point edition.

The Tango is a network-based platform that supports AES67 and AVB standards. It features its own intercom application and can be used for various communication needs. The Tango comes equipped with a high-resolution, full-color TFT display, intuitive front-panel controls, processing capabilities, two integrated Riedel digital party-lines, two AES67- and AVB-compatible ports, two Ethernet ports, one option slot, redundant power supplies, and a asymmetric 40x80 matrix size. It can also be converted to an intercom system with the “My First Riedel” intercom application.

Then there is the Smartpanel, a control panel designed to serve as a multifunctional user interface. It features three high-resolution, sunlight-readable, multitouch color displays; stereo audio; multilingual character set; and 18 keys in 1RU. The panel can also be expanded through the use of three apps: BASIC, which includes 12 intercom keys; PLUS, which has 12 intercom keys and adds analog audio port for 4-wire integration and three GPI/Os; and PRO, which features 18 intercom keys and two analog audio ports, as well as the ability to connect to a second headset.

Riedel will also show its Artist Digital Matrix Intercom, MediorNet Compact, and STX-200 Professional Skype Interface at ISE 2016.

ISE 2016 will take place in Amsterdam from Feb. 9-12, 2016.
