NEW YORK—MiMojo, a new company focused on mobile content delivery, will debut its new iOS app at the Broadcast Education Alliance Conference (BEA), April 16-17, taking place in conjunction with the NAB Show in Las Vegas.

MiMojo, developed by seasoned media tech founder and mobile journalist, Mick Reed (Clippn), is designed to streamline the process of sending and receiving mobile video files for videographers, editors, producers and archivists.

MiMojo is designed to integrate with other platforms for limitless workflow options and compatibility, and is the first mobile app of its kind to address the rapidly-emerging issue of managing mobile content, the company said. MiMojo is also offering customizations for the enterprise, tailored to a media company's unique needs including enhanced security, custom metadata and caption forms, MAM/CMS integrations and mobile video workflows.

MiMojo, which is available for beta testing beginning next month, enables senders to quickly trim media files, add metadata and captions, and seamlessly upload footage, while receivers of the files can change video format specs at the point of download, assign and track footage, and optimize their workflows. LOS ANGELES—Quibi has added a new feature that provides additional viewing capabilities to what was at first supposed to be a mobile-only streaming service. According to Quibi’s Chief Product Officer Tom Conrad, the latest version of Quibi has Apple AirPlay capability for iOS devices.

Conrad announced the news on Twitter, also sharing that they are working to add Chromecast in June.

This meets the time frame that Quibi founder Jeffrey Katzenberg announced in April, where he said some Quibi users will be able to cast content to TVs in May.

Quibi’s streaming service offers 10-minute episodes of content that were designed to be consumed while people were on the go. But as the coronavirus has limited travel, many subscribers were calling for the ability to watch Quibi’s content on their TVs.

SANTA MONICA, Calif.—Subscribers to Hulu no longer will need to be in front of their TV, or connected to the internet, to watch their favorite shows, as the popular streaming service has announced that it is rolling out download capabilities.

The now available feature is currently available on iOS devices for subscribers to the Hulu (No Ads) plan; the download feature is expected to be available for Android devices soon. Users can download TV and movies like Hulu originals “The Handmaid’s Tale” and “The Act,” as well as the library of syndicated content available on Hulu.

To search for available TV shows and content, you click “See What’s Downloadable” and browse through the titles that are currently available for download. Users can download up to 25 titles across five devices, which will be available for up to 30 days to view.

The content is available to access by going to the downloads tab at the bottom of the screen. Once a piece of content is watched, it will expire two days after starting playback. After downloaded content expires, viewers can renew it online if the content is still available.

To download content, iOS devices must be updated to the most recent version.
