                                <p><strong>BOTHELL, Wash.</strong>—<a href="https://www.tvtechnology.com/tag/aims" target="_blank">The Alliance for IP Media Solutions</a> (AIMS), together with the <a href="https://www.tvtechnology.com/tag/video-services-forum" target="_blank">Video Services Forum</a> (VSF), the <a href="https://www.tvtechnology.com/tag/advanced-media-workflow-association" target="_blank">Advanced Media Workflow Association</a> (AMWA), and the <a href="https://www.tvtechnology.com/tag/EBU" target="_blank">European Broadcasting Union</a> (EBU), today announced that 48 products were officially certified to the Internet Protocol Media Experience (IPMX) standard at the recent IPMX Product Testing and Certification Event in Geneva, Switzerland. The IPMX-compliant solutions were revealed at a cocktail reception that took place at ISE 2026 in Barcelona on Wednesday, February 4, at 4:30 p.m. in booth 5K880.</p><p>The IPMX Product Testing and Certification Event represented the first opportunity for manufacturers to formally certify products against the IPMX set of open specifications for professional media over IP. Following rigorous testing, solutions from Bridge Technologies, Matrox, Adeas / Nextera, Panasonic, Cobalt, intoPIX, plexusAV, Megapixel, Novastar, and Evertz successfully passed certification. These products are now certified and will carry the IPMX branding, signaling verified compliance with published transport, control, and interoperability requirements.</p><p>“We couldn’t be more excited to be unveiling the first IPMX-compliant products at ISE 2026,” said Sam Recine, IPMX Pro AV Working Group Chair at AIMS. “The certification of these solutions represents a major milestone in IPMX’s transition from specification to a certifiable and deployable technology, validating years of collaborative technical work and confirming that IPMX is ready to move from development into active deployment.”</p><p>“AIMS extends its sincere thanks to Packetstorm and Meinberg for their critical technical contributions, test infrastructure, and timing and network expertise that were essential to the success of IPMX interoperability and certification efforts,” added Recine. “We also recognize the EBU for hosting the event and for providing independent administration of the test process, ensuring a rigorous and neutral certification environment.”</p><p>IPMX is a set of open standards and specifications designed to extend SMPTE ST 2110–based media transport and AMWA NMOS–based control into a broader range of markets, including professional AV, live events, corporate media, education, and beyond. </p><p>In addition to uncompressed workflows, IPMX introduces support for compressed video, simplified system timing, HDCP, and defined system profiles to make deployment more practical, scalable, and cost-effective for Pro AV environments.                                 <p><strong>HACKETTSTOWN, N.J.—</strong>Vislink is now a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) as part of the company’s efforts to support and promote 5G technology. In addition, Vislink’s David Edwards, Live Production product manager and interim Group R&D leader, will serve on EBU’s 5G in Content Production Group (5GCP).</p><p>Vislink joining EBU comes after the company recently announced a new Connected Edge solution for leveraging IP connectivity everywhere to facilitate lower latency, ultra-fast video, real-time analytics and assessment of actionable intelligence.</p><p>“5G connectivity will be a key component in achieving the Connected Edge. The live production use case requires unique specs like high uplink capacity and very low latency,” said Mickey Miller, CEO of Vislink. “We look forward to being part of the working group that will help bring broadcast requirements to the 5G roadmap and ecosystem.”</p><p>5GCP consists of major equipment vendors, broadcasters and leaders in the industry working to define relevant use cases for 5G technology across news, sports, events, studio and location production. The group also works to identify and quantify the associated technical and operational requirements for a 5G transition, as well as understand typical working practices and standardization of the latest broadcast technology.</p><p>“5G will play an important part in the future of wireless camera applications for the live video production sectors and we are already seeing traction on consumer telecommunications.                                 <p><strong>GENEVA, Switzerland—</strong>The European Broadcasting Union has published a new electronic chart to help rapidly identify issues encountered when setting up a High Dynamic Range monitoring system.</p><p>The chart has been published as EBU Tech 3374, and is based on a similar chart used at Canadian EBU Member CBC/Radio-Canada.</p><p>The EBU said the chart is not intended to accurately measure a display’s Dynamic Range, but as a visual test to see if code values are output as intended.</p><p>It added that the new chart helps to verify that the video chain used for monitoring covers the specified dynamic range, regardless of the EOTF (‘electro-optical transfer function’, e.g. HLG, PQ, SLog3) and bit-depth (8, 10, 12 or 16-bit per color) used.                                 <p><strong>ALKMAAR, THE NETHERLANDS</strong>—The European Broadcasting Union and Mobile Viewpoint signed an agreement to deliver news and other content to EBU members and clients via IP, according to Mobile Viewpoint.<br/><br/></p><p>Dedicated IP encoding and decoding appliances using Mobile Viewpoint technology will be rolled out gradually in 2016 with the launch of the Eurovision Open Smart Virtual IP Network and its online portal. This cooperation enables both companies to complement their respective competitive strengths, and push for innovation and cross-compatibility of IP broadcast technologies.</p><p>Mobile Viewpoint said the deployment of IP transmission solutions by major broadcasters has already shown that this technology is now widely accepted as the major tool for cost-effective and fast news gathering.</p><p>“This alliance enables the EBU to continue developing our open IP hybrid network for our clients,” EBU Network Director Graham Warren said. “It will empower media professionals to manage their transmissions wherever and whenever thanks to the latest IP digital technology and our enhanced online portal.”</p><p>Mobile Viewpoint Managing Director Michel Bais said the deal “ opens up a whole new market and group of customers who like to use IP as a cost-effective alternative to traditional satellite and fiber with outstanding quality of service. EB’'s global network reliability and reach make it possible to deliver these services in combination with our adaptive encoding devices.”</p>
