ELEMENTS to Launch New Workflow Automation Engine at IBC 2019

Utmost flexibility for workflow automation to be seen on Booth 7.D08

Dusseldorf, Germany, Sep 3, 2019: ELEMENTS, developer of advanced solutions for unrestricted collaboration in shared media workflows, is releasing its new Workflow Automation Engine at IBC 2019. The engine is a smart and powerful tool that allows users to steamline workflow processes by consolidating previously independent tasks into combined automated workflows operations for increased efficiency. Demonstrations of the Workflow Automation Engine will be conducted in ELEMENTS’ Stand 7.D08 at IBC 2019 and mark the first time it has been shown at major trade show.

The ELEMENTS Workflow Automation Engine maximizes productivity by letting storage administrators implement pre-defined, yet adjustable workflow operations chains – with virtually no coding skills required. Complex multi-layer workflow steps that weren’t easily possible before can now be performed via a single command. Job parameters can be modified and adjusted prior to the start of a project, and assigned Media Roots prevent clutter in the project folders. For all workflow automation requirements that are not part of ELEMENTS’ set of pre-defined operation tools, embedded Python and Bash scripting support enables advanced users to add anything that is requested. The engine also gives administrators the ability to assign permission to launch jobs to those with or without ‘privileged’ status but allows them to withhold full access so projects can be launched in a secure manner.

ELEMENTS Workflow Automation Engine fully integrates with ELEMENTS’ Media Library - its comprehensive, easy-to-use media asset management tool (MAM), and also Explorer and Finder to give users access to the pre-defined workflow operations. Also, the full integration of Slack enhances collaboration and communications.

Archive set up is a breeze with the new ELEMENTS Automation Engine, and content can be preserved with either external or cloud storage.

“We are excited to take Workflow Automation to the next level while staying true to our basic approach of simplicity.” says André Kamps, CEO of ELEMENTS. “We are confident that our new Workflow Automation Engine will be a tremendous advantage for our customers, as even the most complex workflows become notably easier and faster.”

*****************************

ELEMENTS will demonstrate the new Workflow Automation Engine, alongside its entire range of media storage and server appliances, at IBC (booth# 7.D08).

To schedule a private demo contact events@elements.tv.

Availability

ELEMENTS Workflow Automation Engine will be available at IBC. ELEMENTS’ human-centered storage line-up ONE, NAS, GATEWAY, and the mobile storage CUBE are available immediately.

ENDS

ABOUT ELEMENTS

ELEMENTS, developer of the award-wining all-in-one media server and storage solution ELEMENTS ONE, provides high-performance hardware and software solutions for the post production and broadcast industry. They also analyze, dissect and index every video frame, as well as audio and metadata, making it easier to search media assets in the Media Library as well as the company’s high performance storage systems, such as Elements One.

The Media Library now contains rough-cut editing tools that streamline the collaborative, review and approvals processes by allowing frame-accurate comments and drawings to be added directly on source material. And since the AI functionality is directly accessible through Adobe Premiere, editors can search the Elements Media Library from within Premiere.

The 2018 NAB Show takes place in Las Vegas, April 9-12.
DUSSELDORF, GERMANY—Elements, developer of advanced solutions for unrestricted collaboration in shared media workflows, is making it easier to access the Cloud. The Company has announced plans to present its new and secure option to push projects or media assets to the Cloud via Elements own GUI at IBC 2017 in Stand 7.B08.

The new Cloud feature, embedded in Elements Media Library, allows all connected workstations to share assets through a private cloud, directly from within Elements’ GUI. With a simple mouse click every operator from any workstation, even those without direct internet access, can initiate the upload and create a link to the specific video in the cloud, or leverage the “auto-upload” functionality allowing operators to automatically load assets to a new cloud-hosted web platform for easy external access.

“Following our basic principle to make processes safe, simple and fast for the user, we have managed to create our new feature in the most efficient fashion,” said André Kamps, Elements CEO. “Instead of uploading the big hi-res file, our Cloud feature uses the smaller Proxy-version of a clip, reducing upload times significantly. Now entire projects can be stored, shared and recalled with just a keystroke, making collaboration from anywhere convenient and easy.”

The sleek web portal allows the Cloud to be easily accessible directly from within the Elements system via various applications including Elements Filemanager, Media Library and Task Manager. Customers can direct clients to view clips on an individually branded Cloud-based Portal, giving the impression of an on-premise, self-hosted storage. Identical to the use of the Media Library as a communication portal, viewers accessing the assets through the cloud are invited to leave comments and even drawings on the image. All annotations are integrated and synced to Elements Media Library.

The new feature will become part of Elemenets’ comprehensive workflow management tool-set that provides a fully intuitive graphical user interface for professionally managing, presenting and sharing media assets. The unique web-based workflow enhancement feature set is embedded in Elements appliances ONE, NAS, GATEWAY, SAN and the mobile appliance CUBE. The optional Media Library, a sophisticated, yet easy-to-use media asset management tool is fully compatible with virtually every professional editing application available today, such as Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Apple Final Cut Pro and others, enabling operators to transfer entire projects seamlessly from the Media Library to any other editing application. The Media Library also fully supports Avid bin-locking and project sharing.

The entire solution is being demonstrated on Elements’ stand # 7.B08 in the RAI Convention Center in Amsterdam.

DUSSELDORF, GERMANY—The latest edition of the mobile media storage device Elements Cube has been released, according to shared media workflows developer Elements. The updated system provides access to Elements’ media asset management (MAM) tool, the Media Library, and its Rough Cut Editor.

The Elements Cube is a portable device that enables customers to view and pre-select media assets on location through a HTML-5 platform. The system comes equipped with embedded MAM tools, including an intelligent task manager, a file manager and a professional user and rights management tool. The Cube also has access to the Rough Cut editing tool through the Media Library, which allows for rough edits to be done on set on a standard computer or tablet; the rough cuts are then compatible with most editing applications available, per Elements. Additional features include the ability to add notes/comments, ranking particular sequences and allowing on-screen drawings.

Elements Cube supports SAS, SATA and SSD drives and provides up to 32TB while allowing utilization of ingest cards. It also comes equipped with USB 3.0 and E-SATA ports.

The new version of Elements Cube is now available.
