It also allows for operator cross training. The system’s integrated platform has a flexible and scalable architecture that can incorporate optional software modules that fit the operations and functions of the different channels.</p><p>KMOS-TV’s specific set-up includes a full suite of OASYS software, specifically Player, Graphics Extension, Redundancy Manager, Streaming Agent, File Checker, Global Media Library, Maker and OASYS Designer and supported by a 64TB NAS, four channels of HD playout and eight ingest channels with full redundancy and an upgraded BXF traffic interface from Myers Protrack.</p>

The integration also provides a IP-based communication link between the devices, enabling an alternative to traditional serial I/O and audio cabling.</p><p>BroadStream Solutions will showcase the integrated DASDEC/Oasys system at booth N6315 during the 2016 NAB Show.</p>

                                <p><strong>ATLANTA—</strong>BroadStream Solutions has hired a number of new employees across a range of its departments, including sales, operations, R&D, marketing and support teams.</p><p>For sales, one of the new appointments is Shelinder Sachdeva as the sales director for India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. Sachdeva is the former vice president of sales for PlayBox. The company also announced the hire of Frank Summerfield, who previously worked with Harmonic, IneoQuest, Vermiatrix and RGB Networks, as business development director for the U.K., Ireland and the Nordics. Previous stops for Bowes include roles at Rover Group as finance and manufacturing strategy director, and director at Lola Group and Elan Motorsports Group.</p><p>Also in the Atlanta office, Lauralyn Mustaki has joined the BroadStream team as marketing director. Some of her prior experience includes roles as vice president and director for Turner Broadcasting and most recently as director of accounts and member services at Georgia Association of Broadcasters.</p><p>In addition, BroadStream reports that it has added five software engineers to its R&D department in Croatia over the last six months.</p>

It initially installed eight primary and four backup channels of Oasys for playout services with graphics inserts, but is now expanding for a majority of its services, including onscreen graphics, program title keying, dynamic scrolls and channel branding.</p><p>The Oasys system also offers channel redundancy with 1:1, M:1 and/or M:N configurations with channel prioritization. The system also has IP in/out capability.</p><p>BroadStream Solutions focuses on the playout of linear television channels and news playout tools for broadcasters, networks, cable and satellite operations.</p>

The system will also integrate with KLRU’s Myers Pro Track traffic system via the BXF protocol, providing two-way communication between traffic and automation. New graphics capabilities will also be added to the station through the OASYS.</p><p>KLRU will install the OASYS system in mid-November.</p>

                                <p><strong>ATLANTA –</strong> To bring the weekly magazine show “FIFA Football” and daily “Omnisports Bulletin” to its audience, digital sports content and media group Perform has selected Broadstream Solutions’ OASYS automated playout platform.</p><figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="Dem8r54r9qQXaDimdkX74d" name="" alt="" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/Dem8r54r9qQXaDimdkX74d.jpg" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/Dem8r54r9qQXaDimdkX74d.jpg" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div></figure><p>OASYS uses shared-file assets and incorporates an end-to-end, file-based workflow from ingest, through production and editing, to transmission. The OASYS is also able to expand its one channel solution to a variety of channels. The platform also prepares Perform for the IP transition.</p><p>Perform currently utilizes OASYS for five shows, totaling eight hours of programming a week.</p><p>Broadstream Solutions is a provider of playout tools for broadcasters, networks, cable and satellite operators, with headquarters in Atlanta.</p>

                                <p><strong>ATLANTA –</strong> Broadstream Solutions intends to launch its new Armada Time Delay Server in Amsterdam during the 2015 IBC Show. The Armada provides customers with the ability to delay and replay content for a range of zero to 72 hours.</p><figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="ckj5oLrneDZLRbB49SxTqk" name="" alt="" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/ckj5oLrneDZLRbB49SxTqk.png" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/ckj5oLrneDZLRbB49SxTqk.png" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div></figure><p>The Armada Time Delay Server takes live inputs from SD-SDI, HD-SDI or IP and provides SD-SDI, HD-SDI or IP outputs. The servers “Delay Out” feature allows for multiple outputs to come from the same input, with each output able to have the same or different delay periods. Additional outputs can be added with the same or different delay and/or graphic overlay. Multiple delays can also take place on the same server with an optional single fixed graphic overlaid on each delayed output.</p><p>The fully automated Armada is available as a 3RU standard, but is also available as 1RU if space is limited. It will be on display at Broadstream’s booth, 8.B29.</p><p><a href="https://www.ibc.org/" data-original-url="http://www.ibc.org/">IBC 2015</a> runs from Sept. 11-15 in Amsterdam.</p>
