                                <p><strong>LAS VEGAS—</strong>U.S. broadcasters will get their first look at Axon Digital Design’s latest product, the Neuron, which the company describes as a Network Attached Processor.</p><figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="iTm9gMC2AGojZifwrg3PHn" name="" alt="" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/iTm9gMC2AGojZifwrg3PHn.jpg" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/iTm9gMC2AGojZifwrg3PHn.jpg" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div></figure><p>Axon developed the Neuro as a next generation signal processing platform to address IP and hybrid environments. It can support 200 Gb/s and 64 channels or 16 UHD channels in a single rack unit. The Neuron’s FGPA-based processing power, meanwhile, provides bandwidth performance for the delivery of UHD and 8K productions.</p><p>The Neuron won’t be the only Axon product on display. The company will also showcase its Cerebrum control and monitoring platform, which is designed to simplify workflows by integrating and controlling different technologies. Axon reports that the Cerebrum has been used for productions of major live sporting events like the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the Wimbledon tennis tournament.</p><p>Both products will be set up at Axon’s booth, N2824, during the NAB Show.</p><p>To register for the NAB Show, visit <a href="https://www.nabshow.com/" data-original-url="http://www.nabshow.com/">www.nabshow.com</a>.</p>

Van Dujvendijk says his strategy over the next 12 months is “to become much closer to our clients. The team has some phenomenal talent, providing cutting-edge solutions that deliver real competitive advantage to our clients.”</p><p>The Netherlands-based company claims that its Cerebrum control and monitoring platform has been deployed by ITV, TF1 and F1 — and its latest IP solutions have been adopted by Sky, Arena TV and Euro Media Group — among other broadcast organizations.</p><p>At the 2018 NAB Show, Axon’s U.S. distributor, Utah Scientific, showcased Axon 4K and Ethernet infrastructure solutions, and demonstrated the integration between Axon, Utah Scientific and other broadcast manufacturers’ products.</p><p><a href="https://www.tvtechnology.com/show-news/2018-nab-show-utah-scientific-putting-forward-axon-4k-ip-infrastructure-solutions"><strong><em>[Read: 2018 NAB Show: Utah Scientific Putting Forward Axon 4K, IP Infrastructure Solutions]</em></strong></a></p><p>Axon CTO Peter Schut said that Van Duijvendijk’s and van der Flier’s experience, particularly in live sports production, “will help us to strengthen our focus on providing solutions upon which our customers can rely as audience expectations become more demanding.”</p><p>Van Duijvendijk succeeds former Axon CEO Jan Eveleens, who joined Axon in 2009 from Grass Valley, where he had served as general manager of Image Capture Systems.</p><p><a href="https://www.b2bmediaportal.com/nbmedia/subscribe.aspx"><em>[Want more information like this?                                 <p><strong>AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS</strong>—At IBC 2015, Axon Digital Design will showcase its latest 4K products and Cerebrum, its broadcast control and monitoring software. Cerebrum's functionality and features simplify multidevice monitoring and control onto one interface. It supports devices from different manufacturers, including routers, production switchers, servers, receiver decoders, multiviewers and waveform monitors, using either SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) or third-party protocols.</p><p>Axon’s Synapse signal processing product line now offers a range of 4K products. These include a 4K up/down converter, a distribution amplifier and two production Tool Boxes. Both Tool Boxes (U4T100 and U4T140) will carry Vanc and Hanc data such as timecode and embedded audio. The U4T140 also provides a Dolby E encoder and decoder.</p><p>Axon also will demonstrate SMART DVB, its platform for live MPEG-2 and DVB transport stream reporting. Launched earlier this year, SMART DVB is a complete suite of tools to monitor, report and analyze live MPEG-2 and DVB transport streams.</p><p>As part of its collaboration with industry bodies such as the EBU, SMPTE and IEEE to develop the next generation of standards, Axon will update visitors on its on-going work on S2022.</p><p>Axon will exhibit in Stand 10.A21/B21.</p>
