                                <p><strong>CAMARILLO, Calif.—</strong>A new round of funding has seen Aperi, a company that focuses on virtualized media production, raise more than $10 million, allowing it to expand its range of broadcast functions as well as increase its global presence.</p><figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="S3N7jjTngzFRy9cMZRkf9f" name="" alt="" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/S3N7jjTngzFRy9cMZRkf9f.png" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/S3N7jjTngzFRy9cMZRkf9f.png" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div></figure><p>The funding came from multiple venture capitalists from around the world, including Merapar, Ocom, Manuardeo, Innov8on and Malvern Ventures LLC.</p><p>Aperi microservices are designed to combine true virtualization with its V-Stack media hypervisor-based approach to deliver low-latency media processing for both centralized and decentralized media networks.</p><p>“The recent speed of adoption of its software-driven low-latency media processing platform has exceeded our expectations, and shows that Aperi will play significant leadership role in the future of live production,” said Merapar CEO Erwin van Dommelen.</p><p>Aperi will debut this new expanded range of broadcast functions at IBC 2019 (booth 2.C30), which takes place in Amsterdam from Sept. 13-17.</p>

                                <p><strong>LAS VEGAS</strong> — Aperi Corp. will display native IP sports technology for live remote production at the 2018 NAB Show, along with a new SMPTE 2110 network security application.</p><p>With a focus on live IP Media Function Virtualization (MFV) solutions, the company will present case studies profiling how top U.S. sports leagues and others use its virtualized technology to link venues and production bases to form practical, live remote production workflows, as well as how it can also benefit complex distribution applications.</p><p><a href="https://www.tvtechnology.com/show-news/aperi-video-clarity-to-test-h-264-compression-at-vidtrans-2018"><strong>[Read: Aperi, Video Clarity to Test H.264 Compression at VidTrans 2018]</strong></a></p><p>Aperi will also show a new SMPTE 2110 native firewall app (with up to five in a single RU) to support 128 bidirectional flows of content per microserver; a suite of 2022 gateway and standard codecs, including H.264 and J2K; and a new TICO 4K compression app. They will also show a new single-RU multiviewer app that monitors hundreds of IP inputs, while creating five independent outputs in IP, SDI or HDMI.</p><p>Visitors will also see the latest V-Stack, now with expanded functionality to support multiple processes, such as feed monitoring, content logging, license management, as well as third-party orchestration and control systems. Aperi’s A2101 real-time dense network-edge media processor and gateway server, applicable to mobile production facilities and local-loop networks, will also be featured.</p><p>Aperi Corp. will be in booth SU11710<strong>.</strong></p>

                                <p><strong>CAMARILLO, CALIF.—</strong>Aperi has a number of technology demonstrations planned for VidTrans 2018, but the IP live media processing provider is looking to highlight a partnership with Video Clarity on a presentation of Aperi’s H.264 compression app.</p><p>During the demonstration, Video Clarity will test the quality of the H.264 compression app on audio and video live. The demo also intends to show how compression can be analyzed when operating in live IP-centric infrastructures to ensure optimal media compression and transport.</p><p>Andrews Osmond, Aperi’s vice president of business development, will attend the show to present a session titled “Sorting the Fact From the Fiction—IP and Software-based Live Video Transport.” Osmond’s presentation will cite real-world deployments to show the value of IP.</p><p>Additional demonstrations planned include Aperi’s live remote production technology and apps created using Aperi’s software-based media processing technologies. The company will also showcase the latest in its IP security offerings, including real-time network address translation, RTP packet and media inspection and firewalling, and new fail-over technologies.</p><p>VidTrans 2018 is underway and will continue through March 1 in Los Angeles.</p>

Camparada joins Aperi with 15 years of experience in the broadcast and media technology industry with previous technical sales and account management roles at V-Nova.</p><p>Aperi reports that it has seen expansion of its EMEA operations following a number of customer deployments as more operators continue to adopt IP technology. The company’s new EMEA office will provide support to local users as they transition away from hardware-dependent systems to completely software-based production networks.</p>
