A centralized workflow enhances the station’s automation and multichannel monitoring capabilities while improving signal path control of four channels.

Systems integrator Digital System Technology has completed a new automated multichannel master control system for KAET-TV, the PBS affiliate on the campus of Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ.

The master control and air tape operations, which were in separate rooms, were consolidated into a central area of KAET’s terminal gear room with enhanced automation capabilities.

Already a hybrid digital/analog multichannel facility with one HD and three SD channels (two digital and the main analog feed), KAET will use the new master control center for more efficient signal path control for all four channels through automation.
