Ravensbourne Students to Support Live BVE Broadcasts

 

LONDON 29 January 2015 – At BVE 2015, taking place at ExCel London from 24-26 February, nine students from London’s Ravensbourne undergraduate Broadcast Engineering, Film, and TV courses will gain first-hand experience in live production by assisting in the daily show live from the BVE show floor.

WTS, the global systems integrator and broadcast equipment supplier, is close to completing two new HD OB trucks for SuperSport Africa, together with two support vehicles. The OB trucks are equipped with Snell Sirius 830 multi-format routers, IQ Modular infrastructure and Snell control. One OB truck and support vehicle will be based in Nigeria (OB2), the second in Zambia (OB6). The vehicles are the sixth and seventh HD OB trucks built by WTS for SuperSport, all of which have incorporated Snell routing, infrastructure and control.

Digigram today announced that it participated in the AES67 interoperability test event held by the AES in cooperation with EBU at the Institut für Rundfunktechnik (IRT) in Munich late in 2014. At this "Plugfest," Digigram and other select vendors demonstrated interoperability between different implementations of AES67-2013 across more than a dozen products. The overwhelming success of the event reinforced the value of both the AES67 standard and the RAVENNA implementation that Digigram has incorporated into its range of IP audio codecs and sound cards.
