PPM launches UHF/DVB-T over fiber link

PPM’s ViaLite broadband, wide dynamic range 470MHz to 860MHz fiber-optic link provides a reliable, transparent cross-site connection between RF communications equipment. It is specifically designed for UHF analog or COFDM digital TV signal transport.

The ultra-wide dynamic range results in negligible signal degradation due to noise or inter-modulation effects.

The link’s operation is independent of data format, and together with its inherently low phase noise performance, it is suitable for almost any type of analog or digital signal modulation including FM and QPSK. The wide dynamic range and flat frequency and phase response makes the link well suited for transporting multiple COFDM carrier sets.
