Path 1 to show video-over-public-Internet solutions at NAB2006

The Path 1 Vx8000 multi-port video gateway uses ClearPath Pro forward error correction technology.
Path 1 Network Technologies will highlight its Vx8000 multi-port IP video gateway with ClearPath Pro forward error correction (FEC) technology, an extension to the Pro-MPEG COP #3 standard, at NAB2006.

ClearPath Pro FEC is specifically designed to transport high-quality, real-time video over the public Internet. Path 1 also will demonstrate its Cx1020 SDI-over-IP video gateway and its professional services tools designed to monitor, find and fix network anomalies.

The COP #3 FEC standard addresses the performance needs of private IP networks. However, the public Internet presents an entirely different challenge in terms of high-quality video transport. Path 1 has added its patented ClearPath Pro FEC techniques to the COP #3 standard to address video-over-Internet issues.
