New msi-4400A 8VSB analyzer offers improved performance


The new msi-4400A’s most significant performance enhancement is in the signal-to-noise-ratio measurement.
The new Modulation Sciences msi-4400A 8VSB analyzer offers significant performance improvements and feature enhancements, providing measurement capabilities comparable to and exceeding higher-priced units.

The added features, all available locally and via remote control, keep users well informed about the performance of their transmitters.

The new msi-4400A’s most significant performance enhancement is in the signal-to-noise-ratio measurement. ATSC recommends performance at 27dB. The msi-4400A is designed to measure transmitters that meet ATSC recommendations.

SNR performance characteristics with equalizers off:

  • Range: 15dB to 31dB
  • Accuracy: ± 0.5 dB above 27 dB
  • ±1.0dB below 27dB
  • Deviation of SNR from Equalizer ON: -4.0 dB typical
