MSTV slides shed light on channel election, repacking process

The Association for Maximum Service Television (MSTV) has posted an informative series of PowerPoint slides on its Web site to help broadcasters navigate through the channel election and repacking process.

The slides, which were presented as part of a joint MSTV and National Association of Broadcasters sponsored Web cast Nov. 4, give an overview of the DTV channel election process, explanation of in-core and out-of-core spectrum, the FCC-established timetable for the process and a discussion of broadcasters’ channel election options.

To view the slides, visit www.mstv.org/docs/webcast.pdf.
