Ethertronics adds MediaFLO-capable embedded antenna to lineup

Ethertronics has added a new embedded antenna supporting MediaFLO to its Mobile TV line of antennas. The internal antenna, designed to support U.S. mobile TV applications, enables device developers to implement mobile TV functionality without the need for an external whip antenna. An embedded antenna enables a more user-friendly form factor while maintaining the level of clarity, reception and resolution needed for mobile TV.

The company has designed its Mobile TV line of antennas, which includes DVB-H and DMB products in addition to the MediaFLO antenna, with the company's Isolated Magnetic Dipole (IMD) technology. IMD technology has been designed to confine the current flow on the antenna element and optimize the isolation to deliver higher performance in a small form factor.
