Cox Communications to use Cauldron Solutions’ DragonFly

Cable provider Cox Communications has selected Cauldron Solutions’ DragonFly Workflow Management Engine for the national rollout of Cox’s FreeZone on-demand advertising offering. DragonFly provides a complete scheduling, workflow and metadata management system to help organizations more efficiently schedule and manage digital assets.
FreeZone is Cox Communication’s on-demand service, which was the industry’s first application of on-demand video technology to long-form advertising and ad-supported commercial content. DragonFly is integrated with TANDBERG Television’s N2 Xport and MediaPath systems to give Cox a unified view of the entire life cycle of a digital advertising asset, including workflow for metadata management, scheduling, encoding and distribution for FreeZone. As a result, Cox will use its own branded environment in the user interface to show long-format advertiser messages to on-demand viewers across Cox’s VOD markets.
