BSD expands transport network with Net Insight Nimbra

Broadcast Service Denmark (BSD) has taken delivery of additional equipment from Net Insight as part of a project to expand the Danish digital terrestrial TV network.

The Danish digital TV transport network, which began operations March 31, is based on Net Insight's Nimbra platform. Nimbra delivers television signals from national and regional broadcasters via optical fiber and microwave links to transmitter sites throughout Denmark. Net Insight's Nimbra platform can transport any combination of voice, video and data.

BSD is responsible for the analog and digital distribution of TV and radio in Denmark and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Danish public service broadcasters DR and TV 2/DENMARK.
