ViewCast Plans Hardware and Software Streaming Solutions Showing
ViewCast Corp. plans to show several content streaming hardware and software innovations at the NAB Show. These include the company’s Niagara streaming systems and A/V capture card, Osprey PCI Express video streaming cards, as well as Osprey SimulStream and Niagara SCX software.

Included in the showing is the Osprey-700 HDe card, which is designed for IP distribution and video-on-demand SD and HD content streaming applications. It automatically senses the difference between SD and HD and adapts itself to the proper mode.

ViewCast’s SimulStream software provides enhanced capabilities for the Osprey capture cards by enabling the simultaneous multiple outputs of audio and video data from a single input source. Niagara SCX Standard and SCX Pro software provide streamlined control and monitoring capabilities for multiple encoders and support Windows Media and RealVideo formats. The SCX Pro version adds MPEG-4, H.264 and H.263 capability.
