FOR-A Introduces New Content Management System
FOR-A Corp. of America will be debuting MediaConcierge at the NAB Show. The system is designed for broadcast and professional video applications and provides content management, conversion between files and digital video formats, search and browse functionalities, file delivery, as well as a means of interfacing with third-party content databases and archives.

“MediaConcierge performs the unified management of different media files, such as media ingest and format conversion, so that each media asset can be repurposed for delivery via a variety of outlets, including broadcast, the Internet and packaged media,” said Susumu Hotta, president of FOR-A Corp. of America. “In this way, broadcasters can take advantage of the numerous business opportunities that exists for their valuable media assets.”

FOR-A will show the MBP-100SX baseband converter, which is designed for taking XDCAM HD MXF files to baseband video and vice versa, along with MXF conversion software for converting between MXF data files and P2 HD and XDCAM HD formats. They are the first two MediaConcierge products to be marketed in North America.
