WhiteBlox chooses Inlet’s Fathom encoder

Inlet Technologies, a provider of encoding solutions for new media, announced that WhiteBlox, an integrated broadband video solutions company, is using its Fathom high-speed encoding solution.

Fathom has given WhiteBlox the ability to not only stream content to the Web in Flash and Windows Media, but also to transcode all types of content and formats. Fathom supports multiple formats in each encoding pass.

Fathom enables WhiteBlox to streamline its workflow process. For example, WhiteBlox can now monitor directories and automatically encode content as it is uploaded into individual directories.

Inlet bills Fathom as the world’s most powerful encoding platform for VC-1, Windows Media, AVC and Flash files. It can produce HD digital files in real time. The application is complemented by Semaphore, automated quality control software for digital encoding that eliminates manual video quality checking.
