Among a number of new camera support innovations, Vinten Radamec, will show its Fusion FH100 robotic and manual head, designed for use as a standalone system or for seamless integration with the company’s Fusion FP145 pedestal.
The head accepts payloads up to 125lbs, and both head and pedestal can be used in either manual or robotic mode. The FH100 head features the company’s familiar LF drag system found in the Vector 70 head. The FH100 head also provides its own power supply unit, so it directly accepts AC mains, either from the pedestal, or from the studio supply.
Also at NAB, the company will highlight its new Fusion FCS16 control system, which is engineered for the complete line of Vinten Radamec’s Fusion broadcast robotics. This enables broadcasters to make the move into robotics on a gradual, cost-effective basis without requiring full system upgrade in a single investment.
The control system’s network architecture offers multiuser, multifacility control of robotic pedestals, heads and elevation units. Additionally, it provides a built-in touch screen for full control for up to 16 cameras, and/or full x-y pedestals from a single panel, whether the operator is nearby or on the other side of the world.
While offering a host of new features, the Fusion FCS16 is still so compact it requires the same footprint space as its closest predecessor, the Radamec Shot Control Panel. It can be teamed directly with companion Fusion range products, including the Fusion FH100, Fusion FP145 robotic pedestal and the FBH175 Bolt-on Height Drive. For more information, visit
