Video Technics showcases Apella video clip server at IBC2004

Video Technics' Apella Video Clip Server

Video Technics showed its Apella Video Clip Server with its latest software, version 2.6, at IBC2004.

Version 2.6 provides a network-ready, multichannel server with automated ingest and playout, product compatibility, new archive solutions and failsafe on-air playout.

The media database is accessible to multiple users and applications simultaneously. When media is ingested, the system creates DV and MPEG media files along with low-res proxy clips and associated metadata. This new media is instantly available from throughout the network for browsing, editing and playout providing a centralized transmission or shared-editing environment.
