Triveni Digital releases high bandwidth edition of RM-40

LG Electronics subsidiary Triveni Digital has released the RM-40 HBE (high-bandwidth edition), the latest addition to the company's StreamScope family of stream-quality monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting systems.

With the ability to perform complex MPEG monitoring at 1 Gb/s, the RM-40 HBE extends the comprehensive monitoring capabilities of the StreamScope RM-40 to include the entire GigE stream.

Like the StreamScope RM-40, which supports the new ATSC A/78 recommended practice (Transport Stream Verification), the RM-40 HBE offers low-cost remote monitoring, measurement, recording and analysis of DTV streams in real time. The system classifies errors in the stream by severity so operators can focus on issues that threaten viewing quality, and then on other problems that may affect or compromise regulatory compliance.
