Thomson announces major Grass Valley HD news victories

At IBC2006, Thomson detailed how several major news operations were turning to Grass Valley for support in HD news acquisition, production and distribution.

Among the new orders are installations in the United States, Europe and the Middle East, including CBS owned-and-operated stations KCBS in Los Angeles and KYW in Philadelphia; CBS affiliate station KLAS in Las Vegas; and ABC affiliate KMGH in Denver. In the Middle East and Europe, installations include systems for Aljazeera International in Doha, Qatar; London; and VTM (Vlaamse Televisie Maatschappij) in Brussels, Belgium.

The HD systems include significant commitments to the Grass Valley Aurora HD suite, which features a quick-turn editor.
