Thales Angenieux ships 19 x 7.3 AIF lens

Thales Angenieux has begun delivery of the Angenieux 19 x 7.3 AIF HR/HD ENG/EFP lens.

The lens provides improved focal range to help better capture action in the field and is available in the HD and SD series, as well as the HD-e series, offering a more cost-efficient version for HD quality.

The 19 x 7.3 AIF offers a focal range of 7.3mm to 139mm and precision optics that complement today’s HD video cameras. Its sturdy construction is resistant to condensation, dust and rain. Weighing 4lbs with a 2X extender and 3.7lbs in the HD-e version, the lens’s 19X zoom range allows close-up images with optimized definition and clarity. In addition, the wide-angle capability of the lens is well suited for panoramic shots from news helicopters or to easily add versatility to the shooter’s position.
