Streamezzo, Atos Worldline introduce portable live TV app for iPhone 3G

Rich media software company Streamezzo and application hosting and transaction processing company Atos Worldline have partnered up to power interactive live TV for the iPhone 3G. The mobile TV platform has already been implemented by a European carrier and is distributed through Apple’s App Store.

The Streamezzo and Atos Worldline mobile TV solution offers mobile TV functionality through the embedded video player, channel grid and interactive electronic program guide. Designed to meet mobile operators’ and broadcasters’ requirements, it offers a customizable look and feel and services such as fast channel-switching, a video-on-demand catalog, live catch-up TV and personal video recording.

Streamezzo’s Rich Media Software Suite can also be used to deliver mobile TV to other platforms including Android, BlackBerry, Java, Linux, Symbian and Windows Mobile.
