Streambox to unveil rugged version of Portable Video Transport

At IBC2007 in Amsterdam, Streambox will release a fully rugged version of its Portable Video Transport system for mobile newsgathering, emergency response and armed forces operations.

The rugged encoder can handle extreme temperatures, exposure to adverse weather and rough handling. Measuring 1.98in x 11.8in x 9.65in and weighing 6.8lbs, the video transport system uses the Streambox ACT-L3 codec and widely used advanced compression technologies.

The system is integrated into one compact portable device supplied with a sturdy carry handle for easy transportation and features extended battery life.
