Rohde & Schwarz unveils outdoor housing for broadcast transmitters

When protected by the new R&S KGO880 outdoor housing, broadcast transmitters from Rohde & Schwarz become all-in-one solutions for outdoor deployment.

Network operators who want to provide fast, comprehensive mobile reception or close coverage gaps can now set up transmitters outside fixed transmitting stations. Because the outdoor solution is largely independent of the existing infrastructure, it can be installed quickly even at undeveloped locations.

Weather- and temperature-resistant, the R&S KGO880 outdoor housing protects transmitters against extreme climatic conditions. All Rohde & Schwarz transmitters in the low- to medium-power range can be integrated. The compact transmitters of the energy-efficient R&S SCx8000 family are well-suited for installation in the new housing. With these transmitters, the outdoor solution achieves the highest output power of 1400W.
