Rohde & Schwarz to unveil ETL TV signal analyzer at NAB2007

At NAB2007, Rohde & Schwarz will introduced the R&S ETL universal multistandard TV signal analyzer that combines the functionality of a TV test receiver and spectrum analyzer.

The R&S ETL offers real-time demodulation and allows new television standards to be implemented on a software and hardware basis.

The platform is especially suitable for commissioning, installing and servicing TV transmitters, as well as coverage measurements for terrestrial TV and measurements on CATV head stations.

Broadcast transmitters or CATV systems can be easily and accurately installed and maintained with one unit.

The R&S ETL consistently performs BER measurements in real time and performs complete analyses. Using real-time demodulators offers the advantage of making demodulated analog video and audio signals as well as digital MPEG transport streams available for further processing.

The analyzer has a frequency range of 500kHz to 3GHz.
