Rohde & Schwarz to feature handheld analyzer, energy-efficient NA8200 transmitters

Rohde & Schwarz will highlight its handheld R&S ETH analyzer for indoor coverage measurements and installation and maintenance of low-power transmitters during IBC2008.

Designed for TV network operators broadcasting in DVB-T and for providers operating a mobile TV network using DVB-H, the handheld analyzer offers a high-contrast color display and can run up to 4.5 hours on battery power.

The company also will highlight its R&S NA8200 family of high-power transmitters boasting an energy-efficient system design. Designed for DAB and T-DMB use, R&S NA8200 transmitters offer output power that is higher as well as a footprint smaller than that of the company’s existing NA6000 series DAB transmitters.

The R&S NA8200 transmitters can be upgraded to the R&S NW8200 TV transmitters, for DVB-H or MediaFLO applications.
