RF Central ships RFX-CMT-II camera-mounted transmitter

RF Central has begun shipping its RFX-CMT-II camera-mounted transmitter, which offers HD upgradeability with low-delay, HD encoding technology.

With HD, SDI or ASI signal inputs, the transmitter is suited for live news and sports coverage. The compact unit offers a variable 6MHz/7MHz/8MHz modulator, 100mw power output, and customer-controlled MPEG menu.

The RFX-CMT-II’s linear RF amplification technology limits spectral regrowth at full power to less than -35dBc. The CMT-II is currently offered in the 2GHz frequency band. Other frequencies are available upon request.

While the RFX-CMT-II comes as an SD unit, it is software-upgradeable to high definition.
