Rental Express Video acquires FOR-A Hanabi switcher for flypack

Rental Express Video in San Francisco has purchased FOR-A’s HVS-3800HS Hanabi switcher to build an HD flypack as part of its expansion into HD production.

The video rental house selected the HVS-3800HS for the flypack because it needed a switcher that was simple to operate and offered a rich feature set, said Steve Barger, Rental Express Video VP and general manager.

The HVS-3800HS is designed for both live-to-air events and line-cut TV production applications. The switcher operates in multiple formats, including 1080i, 720p, 525/60, 625/50 and variations of 1080/24P.
