Origin Digital launches cross-platform hosted video management service

Origin Digital has launched Odaptor, a hosted video delivery and management service enabling video content capture, management and delivery across most platforms, including mobile applications.

The Web-based application encompasses a transformation application for converting digital media to multiple formats and bit rates; a content management system application for managing all types of digital content assets, including video, audio, still images and associated metadata, with the capability for Internet storage; a user-generated content application, which provides a user-friendly, Web-based content submission service allowing any Web site to securely receive and display content received from viewers; and a mobile application, which offers standards-based transformation options such as 3GP, H.264 or WMM to support mobile distribution. As part of the content management application, thumbnails, storyboards and proxy videos are automatically generated as new content is added to the system.
