Nagravision, Giesecke & Devrient announce My Mobile TV smart card

Nagravision and Giesecke & Devrient (G&D) at IBC2007 introduced My Mobile TV Card, an integrated microSD/SD smart card with embedded security for mobile TV services and mass storage. The card is fully portable for both live access and recorded content between a mobile phone and unconnected portable devices such as portable media players and personal navigation devices.

Operators can use the card, which combines Nagravision’s conditional access system with a G&D mobile TV card, to offer branded personal video recording (PVR), impulse pay-per-view (IPPV) and push video-on-demand (VOD) services to subscribers. The card secures the rights content of the data as it moves from device to device. Recording is supported when the card is inserted into a mobile phone. The card also features an adopter for use in an SD slot.
