Microtune introduces universal tuner chip for portable devices

Microtune has unveiled an optimized tuner designed to meet multiple TV reception standards across worldwide markets.

The MicroTuner MT2063 universal tuner offers multistandard TV receiver performance for portable devices, small display TVs and other space-constrained products. Formats supported include ATSC, DVB-C, DVB-T, DMB-T, ISDB-T, NTSC, PAL and SECAM as well as those for U.S. cable networks, including 256 QAM modes. Based on a dual-conversion integrated circuit architecture, it features a high level of integration, including first intermediate frequency (IF) filter, low-noise amplifier and fully integrated automatic gain control.
