MAYAH to roll out latest SD encoder/decoder at NAB2008

MAYAH at NAB2008 will display its newest SD encoder/decoder, the IO [io] 8000/8001, designed for broadcast applications using ISMA 2.0-compliant streaming or MPEG transport stream over IP.

The IO [io] 8000/8001 features SP/ASP and AVC/H.264 encoding, automatic scene change detection and horizontal subsampling, among other options, and can run as a decoder for increased flexibility. Comprehensive audio/video interfacing ensures easy integration in any mobile or permanent environment. The IO [io] 8000/8001 is suitable for typical STL, SNG and other contribution or distribution installations and can be adopted for mobile TV purposes as well.
