Link Research demos L1500 SD/HD transmitter at NAB2008

At NAB2008, Link Research featured the L1500 camera-back radio, which is already in use at live events.

The L1500 is a wireless camera transmitter that can be used in SD or HD, but HD support requires a software upgrade. The transmitter supports a wide selection of RF modules that can be swapped over to operate in bands of 1.4GHz-7.5GHz.

Link uses its own encoding and modulation methods in the L1500 to cut transmission delays to about one frame, making the transmitter suitable for live sports productions.

Camera control for Sony and Thomson Grass Valley cameras is also offered as an option.
