LA Digital Post stores content with Archion

Archion announced three new sales of its highly redundant storage systems within the entertainment, advertising and live event industries.

LA Digital Post, one of the country’s leading postproduction companies, has purchased an Archion Synergy Plus storage system. Captive Media, a media placement services company, and Go West Events and Multimedia, producers of large-scale events, have each replaced their existing storage with Archion’s Alliance and Synergy Plus systems as well.

Archion’s Synergy Plus is designed to expand and enhance existing Avid Unity storage systems, transforming them from a mirrored software platform to a hardware RAID-based system. In each case, the addition of Synergy Plus nearly doubles the client’s usable storage.

With offices in Los Angeles and New York, LA Digital Post has integrated a Synergy Plus array into its existing Unity systems.

Captive Media’s Health Club Panel Network is using Synergy Plus storage for its Digital Proof of Performance Program, through which its clients can confirm the placements of advertising appearing in health clubs throughout the country.

LA-based Go West Events & Multimedia is using Synergy Plus to store video and music content featured at numerous corporate and individual events.

Synergy Plus is a SATA II to FC Raid storage unit designed for networking digital video systems. It’s available in configurations from 4TB and up, with two ports of 2GB fiber-channel connectivity. Synergy Plus eliminates the risk of media loss in the event of a drive failure without mirroring via hardware RAID protection, and offers significant data storage expansion capability without doubling the storage requirements or any additional software costs.
