Italy's Betanews orders multiformat Kahuna switcher for OB van

Betanews, an Italian production company, has purchased the Snell & Wilcox Kahuna SD/HD production switcher for installation in an OB van.

Betanews becomes the first to acquire a Kahuna switcher for installation in a vehicle.

The broadcaster will deploy a multiformat SD/HD Kahuna system with four mix/effects banks at the heart of the newest and largest addition to its OB fleet -a 39-foot unit with 18 cameras. The new Snell & Wilcox switcher was supplied through Video Progetti S.r.l., the company's Rome- and Milan-based distributor and systems integrator.
