IDC highlights new SuperFlex live encoder, decoder for cinema applications

At NAB2008, International Datacasting Corp. (IDC) highlighted its SuperFlex family of open-standards based products for implementing complete end-to-end DVB-IP content delivery via satellite or terrestrial networks.

The company also features its PROFline products offering advanced digital audio compression and related data services for professional broadcast applications.

The newest addition to the Superflex product line, the Pro Cinema 3D Live Encoder and Decoder, with Sensio 3-D technology onboard, supports both 2-D and 3-D live and pre-recorded events. The encoder and decoder allows movie houses and other venues increased new revenue opportunities via alternative content programming.
