IceMobile debuts application for sending broadcast video from mobiles to the Web

IceMobile has unveiled LiveCastr, which allows users to broadcast live video directly from their mobile phones to the Web.

LiveCastr-enabled mobile videos can be viewed on the LiveCastr Web site (www.livecastr.com) or on a LiveCastr player, an online application that users can place on their personalized profile pages on their favorite online social networking site, such as MySpace or Facebook. The application works on all 3G mobile phones without the need to download and install software. IceMobile also has plans to release a downloadable application.

The application is currently in beta testing and is available by invitation only.
