IBIS to introduce desktop capture, packaging for sports broadcasts

IBIS will show several new products at IBC2004, including a desktop solution for capturing and packaging live sports, expanded features for newsroom automation and native language support for its range of products.

Developments include:

  • SprinTx ServerLoad Sport, allowing users to capture and package live sports highlights in real time on a desktop with all metadata. SprinTX allows users to add tags to highlights for slow-motion replay.
  • SprinTx ServerArchive, increasing the functionality of the IBIS newsroom automation applications with a common user interface to control video clip archiving from the server to archive devices.
  • MOS Gateway, demonstrating support for Chinese between the ENPS newsroom scripting system and IBIS SprinTx newsroom automation solution. Changes to the run order in an ENPS prepared Chinese news bulletin script can be reflected automatically in the IBIS ServerPlay rundown.
