Harris shows next-generation automation platform

Harris showed its Broadcast Presentation Manager (BPM) application, a next-generation automation, control, playout and management platform at IBC2004.

Residing within the Harris Resource Suite, a suite of applications on a shared management platform, BPM extends the benefits of automation beyond master control.

BPM products include Air Manager, Schedule Manager, Resource Management and an enhanced device control core.

All of these products use TCP/IP connectivity to provide mission-critical, play-to-air device control for both single and multichannel broadcasters. BPM products will begin shipping in late spring 2005.
