Fujinon to debut new compact HD studio lens in U.S.

Fujinon will make the U.S. debut of the new XA22x7BES compact HD studio lens at NAB2007 in Las Vegas.

The lens is designed for stations using ENG-type cameras for studio applications and those with smaller field production units.

The XA22x7BES is a lightweight box lens that features higher optical quality than standard ENG-type lenses, combined with the zoom and focus performance of a larger studio lens. With a focal length of 7mm-154mm and F-stop ramping characteristics, it is well suited for shooting in tight locations and smaller studios.

The lens has a belt drive for zoom and focus as opposed to gear-driven design, which enables smooth, precise operation. A fully boxed housing minimizes working noise.
