Fujifilm adds Super DLTtape II media cartridges

Fuji Photo Film U.S.A. has begun shipping Fujifilm-branded Super DLTtape II media cartridges, which provide the high capacity and performance capabilities necessary to meet the needs of data centers.

Designed for use with the Quantum SDLT 600 tape drive, the new cartridge offers native capacity of 300GB and supports drive transfer speeds of up to 36MB/s. When used with Quantum’s DLTIce functionality, any new, unused Super DLTtape II can be turned into a Write-Once-Read-Many (WORM) cartridge.

Fujifilm Super DLTtape II media has an archival life of 30 years, addressing the storage longevity concerns of IT managers and CTOs.

See Fuji Photo Film at IBC2005 stand 11.111, or visit www.fujifilm.com/tapestorage.
