EVS highlights HD XT-server applications at major sporting events

At IBC2004, EVS showed a number of its HD and SD solutions, including an exhibit of the technology that was used for coverage of EURO 2004 and the Summer Olympic Games in Athens.

Specifically, EVS demonstrated how its HD XT-servers provided live slow-motion replays and were used for editing and playout of pre-produced material under the control of a video switcher.

EVS also showed how its SportServer with CleanEdit can be used to deliver efficient editing, with finished edits rendered and returned to an XT-server for playout. In a news environment, CleanEdit can allow multiple formats to coexist in an edit session.
